Disorderly
Persons
P.C. Benton reports that he put a stop to a disturbance at the "Guy
Earl of Warwick" in Warwick Street about 4 o'clock.
Complaint P.C.
to Report
Richd Deattry came to the Station soon after 10 o'clock to complain that
P.C. Benton (on day duty) was drunk and insulted him on the Market Hill
about 9 o'clock pm - & said he would appear before the Watch Committee
against him and "do all he could for him". I considered Benton
who came to report himself as coming off duty - a little the worse for
liquor. J.C.
P.C. to Report
P.C. Tyler being warned for 8 o'clock duty did not come to report himself
as going on duty at that hour but came to the Station after 9 o'clock
Disturbance Stopped
on Market Hill
P.C.18 and 25 report that they put a stop to several disturbance on the
Market Hill between 9 and 12 o'clock.
Goods Removed
P.C. Deborix reports he saw a man named Percox remove his House hold Goods
at 12 o'clock pm from a House in Gothic Street PC Bidwell saw it taken
into a house on the East Road near Binders' Row John Lee was assisting
them.
Disturbance in
Binders Row
P.C. Simkin reports he put a stop to a disturbance in Binders Row at ½
past 12 o'clock am.
Accident thigh
broken
About 1 o'clock pm P.C. Bidwell came to the Station for the Stretcher
to convey Mr Creek (Porter of Emmanuel) home who had his thigh broken
by the Kick of a Horse in the Market.
